A STONE COATED STEEL ROOF goes beyond the quality of a smooth finish metal roof. Decra, Gerard, Metro, Stonehenge & Allmet roofing panels are flood-coated with special acrylic polymer resins, covered with quartz earth stone granules and baked in ovens. After curing, the panels receive another coat of acrylic resins for additional protection. 3M Corporation processes the stones with a UV ray protective coating. Unlike other metal roofs, stone coated steel roofs stand up to hail, wind, and ultra violet rays. On a re-roofing project, the existing roof does not need to be removed.
